Most ponds have no natural source of minerals; they are made from rubber liners, butyl, PVC, polypropylene, polyurethane, EPDM and fiberglass. What little minerals and trace elements in the water are quickly absorbed by the fish, plants and even the bacteria that colonise the filters. Our high quality clay reacts with toxins, heavy metals, free radicals and pesticides in water, soaking them up like a sponge and allowing them to become heavier and fall to the pond bottom where they are removed by mechanical filtration. Contains essential minerals and trace elements found in the natural clay ponds in the Koi breeding area of Nigata in Japan where many of the highest quality Koi in the world originate. Treatment: 25gm per 1000 gallon weekly dose 1kg treats 180,000 litres/40,000 gallons An easy to use fine powder for ease, just mix with pond water before adding to the pond.
